Located right off the square in Stephenville, Texas, Feathered Bear is the perfect venue for all of your photography and intimate event needs. With 3 photography studios to choose from, we should be able to fit every photographers needs. In addition to our photography offerings, we have approximately 650 sq ft of indoor event space as well as a large outdoor space to host your events. Our Story
After being a photographer for over 10 years, owner Kim Price felt it was time to give back to the photography industry and the Stephenville community in a whole new way. After months of research and many tough decisions, she decided that a studio rental was something that the community could really benefit from. So began the search for the perfect location for her new adventure. After looking at what seemed like a million different spaces and running numbers on all kinds of ideas, she finally came across an amazing building in the perfect location.

My vision for this space has always been something homey, cozy and more intimate than just a big open space. I wanted something that photographers could bring clients into and they could feel like they were in a private space and could be completely comfortable, almost as if they were in their own home. So as I was looking at different spaces, I decided a house would be my best option. I came across a beautiful 3 bedroom house with all the space I could have every dreamed of. It has taken some work getting it updated, but we have fallen in love with how everything has turned out.
The Faces Behind the Business
Kim & Riley Price are the owners of Feathered Bear Photo Studio. These high school sweethearts are both Tarleton State University Alumni and are excited to be able to give back to the community of Stephenville, which has given them so much. Neither of them are strangers to being entrepreneurs. Together they own and operate 3 small businesses, one in animal wellness, Kim's photography business and a custom crafting business.
In addition to their own businesses, Kim and Riley are full time ranchers on Kim's family ranch raising Registered Hereford Cattle. Kim is a 5th generation cattle raiser and was fortunate enough to be raised on her family's century ranch in West Texas. Buying property in another part of Texas was always something the family wanted to do, so when they got the opportunity they decided on Stephenville. It worked out nicely that Riley was planning on attending Tarleton after graduation.
